Elegant in Red

Something a little simpler today.  This would be the perfect accent for that LBD at the holiday party...

This one started with two coats of China Glaze Ruby Pumps and a coat of Seche to speed the drying process and smooth it out.  Once it was good and dry I used Salon Perfect Liquid Gold and Konad m63 plate to stamp the swirl design over the red glitter.  I sealed it all with a topcoat of NYC, so far one of the only topcoats I have found that doesn't smear the stamping design.  I love how this turned out!

Revlon Royal

I got to spend the day out with my lovely husband today and we did a bit of shopping. I managed to restrain myself and only bought a few polishes...maybe 10. :) As we were walking through Sephora he said to me "Eventually you will have to run out of colors." Silly boys! Anyway, this is one that I picked up last week. Revlon's Royal has been out for a while and got some mixed reviews. I thought the formula was ok, it is a bit patchy in places but it evened out well. Stamped with Konad's m61 plate and Sephora's Mirror Mirror. Topped off with a coat of NYC's Grand Central Station (clear).

What are your thoughts on Royal? Love it? Hate it? Somewhere in between? Let me know, I'd love to hear from you!

China Glaze - Awakening

This is the first of the many new colors I decided to try, mainly because it matched what I was wearing today. This is Awakening by China Glaze. It is a beautiful purple color with loads of gold shimmer, especially in the sun. This shade is a bit thin, I probably should have used 3 coats instead of just two... Anyway, I also tried out some of my stamps, this design is from Konad's m20 plate. What do you think?
