Inspired by a Pinterest Find

I have been spending more time on Pinterest lately than I probably should....it is so addictive!  I had stumbled across this pin a while back and thought it was amazing but never had the time to try it out until today!  Credit for this design goes to A Girl and Her Polish, the original post can be seen here, while you are there check out the rest of her super-amazing blog!

For the base of mine, I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Ion the stamped with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Black Heart.  Red dots are Nails Inc. Charing Cross. Such a fun design!

St. Patrick's Day Striping Tape

Last year I was much better prepared and ready for St. Patrick's Day, I managed to do several themed manis.  This year, I almost missed it!  Things have just been crazy lately.  I wanted to get pics of the evolution of this mani but that didn't work out well either! At any rate, I started with a white base then did an orange/white gradient using OPI A Roll in the Hague.  Once that was dry, I added random designs with striping tape and painted on two coats of OPI Don't Mess With OPI and peeled the tape off.  After I applied the topcoat, I added the little gold jewel to the middle finger in the center of the design.

An Experiment with Layering

I had this idea in my head the other night about a combo that I thought would look really awesome.  I have had my bottle of Zoya Gilty sitting on my little side table since I first got it waiting for inspiration to come to me about what to layer it over.  I thought a deep mauve color would be pretty, so I pulled out Essie Angora Cardi and tried it.

Evidently I missed getting a shot of it with just the Gilty over Angora Cardi because then I though it might look better with a matte finish so I tried that...I'm not sure what I think about this combo.  Opinions?

Pink and Black and Full of Sparkle!

I have been addicted to Pinterest lately and have found some amazing inspiration there!  Lots of striping tape manis so I decided to give it a shot as well.  I wanted something sweet but a little edgy... After basecoat, I applied one layer of Orly Miss Conduct (on all except my ring finger) and let it dry completely.  I applied one stripe to the tip of each nail and two to the tip of my thumbs, then added a layer of Zoya Storm and peeled off the striping tape before that layer was dry.  Two coats of Storm on ring fingers and a layer of Seche to all nails.  Once dry I stamped the bow image from Cheeky plate CH15 with Ulta Quick Silver and placed a little pink stud in the center and a final topcoat.

So super-sparkly in real life!  This is right up there in my top-10 favs so far!

OPI Can't Let Go Swatch and Review

This is going to be another fairly short post, still not feeling the best. :( I received a bottle of OPI Can't Let Go in a recent GlossyBox and was really excited to try it out!  I wasn't sure how I would like the texture because I normally can't stand for my nails to be anything but smooth but I was pleasantly surprised with this one!  Even though there is a texture to it it is a very even surface so it didn't drive me crazy like I thought it might.  It went on very easily (for a glitter) with only two coats needed for full opacity.  Dry time was a little longer than average.

If you are not a fan of texture, I still suggest you give this a try and see what you think, you may be shocked to find you actually like it!

Zoya Burke

Sorry I have been absent lately, I haven't been feeling well and it has really been taking its toll!  This is gonna be a quick post.  Zoya Burke stamped with a crown image from Bundle Monster plate BM08.  Love this sort of "dusky" red.
